Jason Neville’s Funky Soul Band with The Bayou Boyz

Jason Neville's Funky Soul Band was formed in 2016. It was the remnant of the very popular “Jason Neville Band” The original band was established in 2015 and was a very popular cover band. The band added New Orleans Flavor and Funk to increase its visibility.
Once the FunkySoul Band was created, they added originals. The single “Be Myself” was considered a limited edition and sold out two months after its release date. The group is independently managed. The two vocalists are husband and wife, and both are extremely talented. They perform at many venues in New Orleans and surrounding areas. They have performed as Headliners for the Texas Jazzfest. Jason is the son of Grammy winner Aaron Neville.
Superlatives abound when describing the Bayou Boyz, but one that keeps popping up is “fearless”. Their approach to the Great American Songbook is adventurous and, often, daring. They are more than a band, given the impressive lineup of musicians often joining them every week. Their approach to music is to let it become what it will be, to savor the outcome and its ingredients; they are the roux to a potful of musical gumbo, rich and flavorful.
