As the written word and body autonomy is under attack, Booklover's Burlesque explores the books that have been banned or burned around the world. Join in protest and performance and fight censorship together. Booklover's Burlesque is the world's sexiest literary salon which matches titillating, inspiring, and empowering book readings with burlesque, boylesque, and draglesque performances all in one show.
Professional readers, actors, and/or local authors and writers read aloud a three to five-minute piece of poetry, fiction (from any genre), memoir, nonfiction, etc, which is then followed by a burlesque performance inspired by the piece.
