Midgray (Kris Blackmore and Simon Boas)

Holiday Hours:  Christmas Day: Closed, Christmas Eve + New Year’s Eve: 12-4pm, New Year’s Day: 12-5pm

The art and design duo Midgray (Kris Blackmore and Simon Boas) presents new work reflecting the cyclical nature of repression, resilience, and resignation. The artists approach these themes through seemingly distinct mediums. Blackmore leverages textiles and home goods to tell past and future stories of pre- and post-Roe society. At the same time, Boas explores artificial intelligence and interactive entertainment to investigate the tendencies of digital mass media to normalize violence. Together they question how we arrived at this particular cultural and political moment and where we go from here.
