The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Drunk Herstory is a live ensemble sketch comedy show featuring tales from queer history as told by Portland’s most intoxicated drag artists and queer performers. Come and enjoy this hilariously less-than-coherent retelling of the people, places, and events that shaped the queer community into what it is today.

Drunk Herstory is hosted and produced by Lala Benét and Given Davis. The show will feature four drag performances and five altered stories performed by The Drunk Herstory Players on:

  • CHER as told by WolfgangX (host/producer of Cool Dad, King Dad, Cult of) and XO Skeleton (host/producer of Retro with XO and HUNK: A trans masc and nonbinary revue)
  • BOLIVIA CARMICHAELS as told by Bolivia Carmichaels (Local drag icon and host at CC Slaughters)
  • CRYSTAL LaBEIJA as told by Destiny Smokez and Vendetta Petty Kash D’Ho (co-hosts/producers of the monthly queer BIPOC variety show Melange at Clinton Street Theater)
  • DRAG SAVES THE WORLD: Queer Art as Activism as told by Clare Apparently (Camp Wannakiki Season 2 competitor and the first trans masc drag artist to participate in a televised drag competition – ever.)

Also presenting the story of MISS MARY JOHNS as told by comedian Mx. Dahlia Belle, who was recently featured in the Gender Agenda Netflix comedy special hosted by Hannah Gadsby.

Drunk Herstory is sponsored by The Property Weirdos and Wild Roots. Thanks to Portland Center Stage, Max and Mars Present, One-Half Nelson, and The Nancy Boys for their support.
