Get into the spirit of ’79 with three of Portland’s waviest tribute bands performing the embryonic material that invented and defined New Wave, including The Cars' debut album in its entirety, The B-52’s debut album in its entirety and a set of DEVO anthems from the first three classic albums.
The Wanna Be-52s is Portland’s tribute to the original post-punk new wave greatest party band ever. Having rocked Portland stages for a decade now, with a focus on the first two legendary albums commonly referred to as the “red” and “yellow” albums, along with dance floor favorites from the original band’s top charting hits, they will take you on a cosmic trip to space and beyond.
Candy-O, the Northwest’s premier Cars tribute band, has been bringing incredible tone, accuracy, and authenticity to the music of The Cars since 2010. They received the Outstanding American Tribute Band award at the Producers Choice Honors in Las Vegas in 2018.
