In the thrilling traditions of 42nd Street and Chicago, comes the long overdue true-life story of Bill "Bojangles" Robinson, a pioneer of tap dance and civil rights. It was the Golden Era of Vaudeville; the stars were Sarah Bernhardt, Al Jolson, Sophie Tucker, W.C. Fields and Bill Bojangles Robinson. An eternally complicated man, Bojangles' offstage life was as dark as his star power was blinding.
With direction and choreography by award winner, Christopher George Patterson, a musical score mixing new showstoppers with classic standards, and a story of heartbreak and triumph, "Bojangles of Harlem" promises to be a dazzling theatrical experience.
It's a story about Vaudeville. It's a story about fame. It's a story about loss. It's a story about love…
