BodyVox, Portland’s world-renowned artistic performance company, is bringing its electric and frightful Halloween tradition ‘BloodyVox’ to live audiences next month. In its first live production to return to the stage since before the pandemic, ‘BloodyVox’ is a comical treat made for the season, bloody full of entertaining tricks for all ages.

Running Oct. 28-31, 2021 at the BodyVox dance center, ‘BloodyVox’ is a dance theater experience that explores cinema, folklore and our collective nightmares to resurrect the spirits of All Hallows Eve. A true celebration of the movement and creative endurance of the human body and spirit. Welcoming back audience members for the first time in more than 18 months, this delightfully eerie show uses dance to dazzle our eyes, tap into our feeling of togetherness and turn our deepest fears into feature performances. It is a must-see live event for the entire family.

“Returning to the stage for live performances is an absolute joy for those of us in the artistic community,” said Jamey Hampton, co-artistic director of BodyVox. “When the pandemic hit, we were forced to adapt and move to a digital format, but nothing replaces the feeling and energy of being in front of a live audience. We’re beyond thrilled – and it seems so fitting – to bring to life our famed and beloved Halloween tradition of ‘BloodyVox’ as our first performance back.”

Kicking off its 2021-2022 season, tickets for ‘BloodyVox’ go on sale Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021 at bodyvox.com or by calling the box office at 503.229.0627. Conceived and choreographed by Jamey Hampton and Ashley Roland, ‘BloodyVox’ performers include; Bo Brinton, Alicia Cutaia, Anna Ellis, Jamey Hampton, Theresa Hanson, Daniel Kirk, Ashley Roland and Skye Stouber.

As part of the Portland Performing Arts Vaccine Coalition and to keep audience members and performers safe, all attendees must present proof of full vaccination against COVID-19. For those not vaccinated, results of a recent negative COVID-19 test will be accepted. All COVID-19 public safety recommendations in place at the time of performances will be observed.
