The traditional Japanese techniques and textiles of Kimono, Indigo, Katazome, Shibori, and Quilt as new Fiber Art by local artists Kazue O. Young and Alycia Allen Tolmach.
Kazue honors magical moments in Pacific Northwest nature with her intricately stenciled fiber art, using Indigo, Katazome and Shibori, ancient dyeing techniques she learned in Japan.
Alycia creates Landscape Art Quilts from her vast palette of vintage Japanese kimono silks. A selection of her kimono collection will also be displayed and for sale.
