BodyVox starts the new year with a BodyVox Video Installation, filling the entirety of the Maddox Building, located in the heart of the Pearl District, facing the newly zoned pedestrian street amongst tented outdoor dining. The video installation focuses on how dance is affected by light, technology, and perspective, Feb. 4-6.
This three day installation will highlight three cinematically stunning dances from the full-length show FIGMENTS, premiering in February. The main room of the Maddox Building will have multiple video projections and music allowing a variety of perspectives as the visitor is immersed in the dances "Synaesthesia," "Deep Wading," and "Figments."
To comply with Covid-19 protocols and safety, capacity for the BodyVox Video Installation is limited in accordance with state guidelines. Masks and appropriate distancing are required, and stringent sanitation measures are in place. A new program will start every half hour. BodyVox continues to monitor this evolving situation and is prepared to make adjustments as recommended by the Office of the Governor and the Oregon Health Authority.
