The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Combining fast-paced comedy, high-energy rock & roll, seductive burlesque, and jaw-dropping acrobatic numbers, this show is the kind of ridiculous spectacle that will have audiences texting their friends, “What did I just see?!”.

Seattle hitmakers (Seattle Vice, Bohemia) Mark Siano and Opal Peachey are making their Portland debut with a bawdy new comedic script that shows off their signature style of combining a plethora of performative elements into an event that feels like a party as much as it is a show to be watched and enjoyed. While the writing for this new musical is modern in its language, it does contain over 30 Shakespearean quotes and even more references and innuendos inspired by the famous playwright.

“Masters of the Revue” (Seattle Times) Peachey and Siano take to the microphones as well to sing the roles of Titania and Oberon, the queen and king of fairies. Burlesque performers, acrobats, dancers, and musicians fill the stage in a wild woodland party that’s part cabaret and part bacchanal, filled with sprites and spirits to welcome the spooky season.

The story roughly follows a sliver of Shakespeare’s famous fantasy “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, with Oberon returning to the woods after a year-long world tour. His wife Titania has prepared a New Moon festival for his homecoming. Oberon’s hubris and infidelity get him kicked out of his own party, but the show must go on as Titania decrees that the night will now be dedicated to her new love, a creature named Bottom, who is half-donkey, half-man.
