The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Portland Street Art Alliance is a non-profit organization that provides access to resources, networking platforms, and professional development opportunities for Pacific Northwest street artists. This is a rare opportunity to meet PSAA directors and get a one-on-one behind the scene glimpse into Portland's street art.

Starting outside Clay Creative, PSAA will provide an introduction to their work in the community, provide a brief history of graffiti. On view at Clay Creative is the recent Taylor Electric Project where PSAA organized over 100 regional artists to paint.

Then, PSAA will begin their interpretive walking tour through Inner Industrial Southeast Portland, where you will see and learn about some of the best murals and graffiti in the city, including many new ones painted by PSAA in just the last year as part of the new Viaduct Arts initiative.

Local experts, artists and advocates will tell you about the history of street art in Portland and the process of making art in the streets. You'll see a live painting demonstration by a longtime Portland street artist, where you will learn about spray painting techniques and can try your hand at handling rattle cans.

The tour will conclude at Portland's newest rotating graffiti art wall. Everyone will also be given a free bag of Pacific Northwest street art stickers!
