"Local music group Fear No Music is known for featuring some of the best classical musicians in town, bringing their expertise to lovingly daring performances of the sort of modern music that’s difficult for players and audiences alike. Perhaps more importantly, it takes a keen interest in promoting the music of living and local composers. It’s annual “Locally Sourced Sounds” concerts are always among the best of the season, presenting new music by composers from the Pacific Northwest. This year’s concert (the group's sixth) features works by Reed College professor Yuan-Chen Li; Seattle-based Messiaen pupil Janice Giteck; TaiHei New Music Ensemble director Li Tao; Portland State alumni Nicholas Emerson and Garrett Key; and Jake Safirstein, a graduate of Fear No Music’s Young Composers Project training program." – Oregon Arts Watch
