The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Embarking on a beautiful and strange journey creating original music inspired by the works of David Lynch, the Pacific Northwest duo is composed of classically trained vocalist Lady K and accompanied by producer and multi-instrumentalist Dustin Carpenter. Performing sold-out shows from Portland to Dallas, WISTERIA LODGE conjures a unique and mysterious sound balanced between radiant dream pop and dark indie rock. Influenced by the sounds and aesthetics of the past, it is filtered through experiences of intense love and heartbreaking loss. After working with legendary Denver producer Noe DeLeon, the duo find themselves poised to enter new sonic territory in 2024.

Often described as American Gothic meets American Songbook, intimately cinematic and stylistically complex, Rachel Brashear is known for her emotionally dense songs and equally meaningful takes on other artists’ works. From rearranging the works of Angelo Badalamenti and Julee Cruise to playing country guitar or composing in her unique voice, she is hard to pin down but never hard to enjoy.

Heavily inspired by the work of literary and comic book artists, Strange & the Familiars presents an immersive musical experience that straddles the line between rock opera and musical theater storytelling while exploring the dark and fantastical places in the human mind. With themes of mental illness, reverence for nature, and other human struggles woven through a magical soundscape, Strange & the Familiars is a tender and heartbreaking celebration of the human spirit, encouraging listeners to dance as the future of the world depended on it.
