The heroines of these two thrillers must navigate treacherous territory in their search for the truth. Rene Denfeld’s The Butterfly Girl finds Naomi, introduced in The Child Finder, searching for her missing sister in Portland, where young, homeless girls have been going missing and turning up dead. Phillip Margolin’s The Perfect Alibi features young Portland lawyer Robin Lockwood, who finds herself masterminding two impossible cases—a rape victim and a murder charge—and trying to find the hidden truth that links the two of them. Moderated by Amy Stewart, author of the Kopp Sisters series, including the latest novel, Kopp Sisters on the March.
