The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
On December 31, 1990, Champagne Ball founder Mathew Weber set out to celebrate New Year’s Eve. He hit a local hotspot where he found himself disappointed from waiting in long lines and people treating New Year’s Eve like it was just another Saturday night.
After that experience, Weber decided to start a New Year’s Eve party with one goal in mind: to make New Year’s Eve special. Since then, the Champagne Ball has helped nearly 40,000 people ring in the New Year in a fun and safe environment.
To keep the energy level high and amp up the fun, the Champagne Ball always brings in the area’s top entertainment. The event features 18 bars because the Champagne Ball wants people out dancing, not standing in long lines. The party also includes a massive countdown with huge balloon drops, multiple confetti cannons and a ton of party favors. Finally, guests are required to “dress to impress” because New Year’s Eve shouldn’t be treated like any other night.
