The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

I Do To-Do wedding planning event is a social Q&A event where couples of all sizes, colors, genders and loves can come ask inclusive wedding professionals all their wedding planning questions one-on-one for free.Because the event is a passion project from Beth Olson (Twisted Aisle Weddings photography), Jenn Reyes (AWE productions) and Tilly Dorsey and Sean Moloney (District East/My Bartender), attendance is free but guests must get get tickets by RSVPing through the registration link.

Everyone’s heard horror stories of cake makers, venues and photographers shaming, ghosting or downright refusing couples when they realize they’re same-sex, biracial, plus size or otherwise not that businesses’ misguided notion of their “ideal client.” The wedding professionals of I Do To Do have created a laid-back social event where couples of all kinds can come for help in planning their celebration, just how they want it and know that every single vendor they speak with is excited to work with people just like them.

The event will have professionals specializing in many different aspects of weddings from celebrants and photographers to clothing and flowers. Unlike “bridal expos,” this event does away with brochures, sales pitches, large crowds and fashion shows, instead encouraging couples to bring a list of questions they have about planning their wedding. They’ll have the opportunity to lounge, mingle and chat with other couples and professionals in a relaxed atmosphere with music, snacks and a bar plus helpful advice from folks who have a lot of real-world wedding experience. There will also be a raffle guests will be entered in just for showing up which includes some big prizes like a custom shirt from Duchess Clothier and a couple’s photo adventure by Twisted Aisle Weddings.
