The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Due to popular demand, Weird Portland United, Portland’s only nonprofit dedicated to keeping things weird, is bringing back the much-hyped Weird Portland Gala for just the second time ever this November. The inaugural event in 2019, billed as a gathering, party, fundraiser, and celebration of weird all rolled into one, featured local celebrities like Darcelle XV and Mayor Bud Clark, live music from Sweet N’ Juicy and Moshow the Cat Rapper, and raised over $15,000 for the group’s efforts at supporting creatives in the Rose City. For full coverage of 2019’s Gala, check out The Oregonian.

This year’s event will carry on that tradition with more celebrities, more music, and more weird. In addition, those in attendance will experience the exclusive world premiere of ‘We Are So Weird,’ an original song and music video by a supergroup of Portland’s weirdest, in the style of 1985’s ‘We Are The World.’ The inaugural gala was a sold-out event, so guests looking to join this year’s fun are encouraged to act fast.

VIP experiences are available in limited supply. Money raised at this year's Gala will be used, in part, to launch a city-wide series of Weird Portland Murals. This year's Gala theme is Inclusion, Unity, and Authenticity. Costumes are strongly encouraged but not required.
