Allegra Krieger makes warm, detailed indie rock that is both soothing and quietly challenging. A smart lyricist with a unique descriptive sense, she debuted in 2020 with The Joys of Forgetting on the Northern Spy imprint. After her 2022 follow-up, Precious Thing, she switched to another Brooklyn label, Double Double Whammy, and earned some breakout critical success with 2023's I Keep My Feet on the Fragile Plane. Krieger's fourth album, Art of the Unseen Infinity Machine, meditated on a fire that destroyed her Manhattan apartment.
