The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Tommy Alexander is coming back to Portland and aims to bring together an impressive amount of local Portland talent and traveling folk alike to Mississippi Studios for a special and intimate night of fun, dancing and more fun. Alexander's latest record, released in November 2022 via Portland's own Fluff & Gravy Records, was recorded in Nashville at The Bomb Shelter with Engineer-Producer Andrija Tokic. The record was tracked live over five sessions, with a few choice overdubs. Alexander credits Tokic as a wizard of audio. Tommy Alexander has three previous independently released albums to his name, with his 2020 LP, Waves, ending up on numerous end-of-the-year lists, including nods from KEXP and Magnet Magazine. Over the years, Alexander has shared shows with Big Thief, Michael McDonald, Mac Demarco, Chaka Khan, and People Under the Stairs, among many others.

A cult-like fascination is growing around Kassi Valazza following the self-release of her 2019 debut album, Dear Dead Days, and her surprise 2022 EP, Highway Sounds. She is seated squarely at the vanguard of new American songwriters, strengthening and broadening the sound of country music as she tours with celebrated acts such as Melissa Carper and Riddy Arman. The Southwestern native resides in Portland, a hotbed of songwriters producing albums that both bear the torch and bend the arc of American roots music, where she recently signed with Fluff & Gravy Records — a label known for launching Anna Tivel and Margo Cilker.
