Known far and wide as a gay-friendly destination, the Rose City is open and accepting to every kind of visitor. During the month of June, it gets friendlier than ever, with the Portland Pride Festival and Parade and various LGBT celebrations all over town.

Portland Pride is held every June over Father’s Day weekend with a festival at Waterfront Park. With booths, food, drinks and musical acts lining the river, the festival is a great place to gather, mingle and get more information about local LGBT groups. Surrounding the festival are various Pride events, including an evening with local LGBTQ authors, Portland Trans Pride and Portland Dyke marches and the annual Gaylabration dance party at the Crystal Ballroom.
