Portland Pride

Portland celebrates its Pride with a parade, festival and more.

Portland Pride ParadeThe Portland Pride Parade draws crowds to downtown Portland every June.

Known far and wide as a gay-friendly destination, the Rose City is open and accepting to every kind of visitor. During the month of June, it gets friendlier than ever, with the Portland Pride Festival and Parade and various LGBTQ2SIA+ (Lesbian, Queer, Bisexual, Queer, Two-Spirit, Intersex, Asexual) community celebrations all over town.

Portland Pride takes place every June with a festival at Waterfront Park. With booths, food, drinks and musical acts lining the river, the festival is a great place to gather, mingle and get more information about local LGBTQIA2S+ groups. Surrounding the festival are various Pride events, including Pride NW’s  celebratory kick-off party, the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus taking the stage at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to pay homage to the history of Broadway, the Portland Trans Pride march and the annual Gaylabration dance party at the Crystal Ballroom.
