Portland and the entire state of Oregon are welcoming visitors from around the world once again. Learn how you can expand your business into the international market by attending Travel Portland’s Deep Dive: International Tourism event at our downtown office. Travel Portland’s Vice President of International Affairs and Strategic Projects, Billie Moser, will give insight into the ins and outs of inbound international tourism — such as which markets we target and why, the role of international non-stop air service and how the inbound international tourism business and supply chain work — as well as the department’s current efforts.
Attendees will be invited to apply for scholarships to join Travel Portland staff at a trade show event selling to international clients. The scholarship program, funded through the Portland Tourism Improvement District (TID), runs from July 1, 2023–June 30, 2024, and covers two-thirds of the trade show registration fee, airfare and lodging expenses.
This hybrid training is open to all Travel Portland partners and geared specifically to the lodging, tour company and attraction sectors. In-person attendees can enter a raffle to win one of two $25 Visa gift cards. Light refreshments will be provided.
