Frequently Asked Planner Questions
How does the MAX Light Rail work? Is it easy to use?
- Trip times are as follows: PDX to downtown Portland: 38–43 minutes. PDX to OCC: 30–33 minutes. OCC to downtown Portland: 10–13 minutes.
- An adult ticket good for 2.5 hours costs $2.80.
- You can roll your luggage on board the MAX Red Line, which serves the airport.
- MAX trains run about every 15 minutes most of the day, every day. Service is less frequent in the early morning, midday and evening. Trains run from approximately 5 a.m. through midnight.
