Unforgettable Portland Event Venues
Portland is home to a slew of modern and memorable venues for meetings, conventions, and events. While the popular Oregon Convention Center hosts many of them, meeting planners have a number of choices for Portland events — including some with features and personality that you can’t find anywhere else.
Providence Park

On game days, Providence Park is home to the city’s championship-winning soccer teams, the Portland Timbers and the Portland Thorns. But whenever the Timbers and Thorns aren’t playing, the striking, state-of-the-art Providence Park is one of the city’s most memorable event venues, with an in-house catering team, easy access to the MAX Light Rail and options for events of any size. Smaller groups can meet in the Sunset Porsche Audi Suites, with indoor and outdoor spaces providing striking views of the stadium. The Lexus Lounge, with its built-in bar and permanent buffet fixture, offers reception and dining space for up to 130 guests, along with easy access to the pitch. Need even more room? The main event space, the Club, hosts up to 500 people and features a 500-square-foot patio with a built-in bar. And Tanner Ridge, Providence Park’s luxurious and gold-accented interior event space, provides jaw-dropping views of downtown, plus cocktail space for up to 650 and multiple options for meal service. If even more space is needed, planners can host an event on the storied pitch itself — all 100,000 square feet of it.
Freeland Spirits

Freeland Spirits makes some of the Pacific Northwest’s best-loved gin, bourbon, rye whiskey, and canned cocktails. But that’s not all: The women-owned, women-operated distillery is also home to an excellent private event space. Located next to Freeland’s spacious and welcoming tasting room in the Northwest/Nob Hill neighborhood, events at Freeland can host up to 80 people. Not only are cocktails readily available for Freeland’s private events (and, of course, made with Freeland’s top-shelf gin and whiskey), but guests can also enjoy mocktails and rotating wine and beer options. Freeland also offers private distillery tours and collaborates with multiple catering partners to ensure every event at the distillery is successful and memorable.
The Armory

Yes, it once was a real armory! Originally built in 1891 for the Oregon National Guard, dramatic renovations have reimagined the Armory as an impressive and sustainably designed space for both events and the arts. Popular with Portlanders due to the acclaimed productions of Portland Center Stage, the city’s largest theater company, the Armory’s versatile space seamlessly transforms to accommodate both single-track and multivenue events, with spaces designed to accommodate 100 to 590 guests. Multiple auditoriums, a two-story lobby, a bistro and lounge space make it well-suited for a wide range of events. Additional features include customizable lighting and catering. Thanks to the Armory’s location in the upscale Pearl District, guests are mere blocks from many of the city’s best restaurants and bars, plus effortless transportation via the Portland Streetcar.
AVENUE

One of the city’s newest event spaces, AVENUE, was opened in 2023 by The AV Department, Portland’s skilled audiovisual company. While its location makes it easily accessible — not only is it right on the Portland Streetcar line and close to the MAX light rail, but it’s directly across the street from the Oregon Convention Center — AVENUE’s real draw is its remarkable versatility and its unmatched sound, lighting and content projection. From full-wall projections to the ability to customize lighting for specific tables, AVENUE’s expert team offers unparalleled audio and visual presentation, along with support for live streaming and live music. The 8,500-square-foot space can host up to 500 attendees, and thanks to its staging kitchen, workspace and green room, AVENUE is a remarkably adaptable space for any event.
