Our newest team members bring fresh perspective and valuable experience to Travel Portland.

Allow us to introduce Jared Kolleh and Tina Gruman, our newest convention sales professionals. Each brings years of hospitality experience, a love of travel, and a true passion for Portland to the job. Whether you’re planning from Chicagoland, the DMV or anywhere in between, they are here to help you make your next meeting in Portland a success.

Jared Kolleh, National Account Director
Based in Washington, D.C. • Northeast market • 500+ peak rooms

Jared’s hospitality journey began as a college student behind the front desk of the Kimpton Brice Hotel in Savannah, Georgia. From there, he worked his way up through multiple Kimpton properties, eventually landing in Washington, D.C., where he joined Hotel Monaco as a front office manager. That frontline experience helped him build a reputation for service, responsiveness and creative problem-solving.

In 2019, Jared made the leap to the DMO world, joining Destination DC as a sales manager. Over the next few years, he advanced quickly, developing a strong portfolio in national association and specialty markets. His familiarity with the unique demands of the D.C. market makes him a go-to resource for planners looking to book on the West Coast.

Now representing Portland to clients across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic, Jared is passionate about helping groups access the city’s one-of-a-kind hotels and venues and a food scene as varied as Portland itself.

“I’m all about partnership,” he says. “Let’s align early, get creative, and build something that really works for your team.”

Outside of work, Jared is always on the move. He’s an avid solo traveler who’s happiest when exploring a new hiking trail, wandering through nature, or discovering a standout neighborhood restaurant. “Trying new restaurants is my favorite sport,” he says.

His perfect Portland day includes tax-free boutique shopping along NW 23rd Avenue in Nob Hill, lunch at Fireside, a scoop of ice cream from Salt & Straw, and a nature break at the Portland Japanese Garden, a spot he calls “stunning in every season.”

Tina Gruman, National Account Manager
Based in Chicago • Midwest market • 76–499 peak rooms

Tina brings nearly two decades of industry experience to her role at Travel Portland, including hotel sales leadership roles with Hyatt, Hilton and Loews. She has worked in both city center and resort environments, giving her a broad perspective on what makes a destination stand out for groups.

Her background also includes time as a meeting planner for both associations and DMOs — so she understands the planning process from both the seller and buyer side. That dual perspective makes Tina a true partner to her clients with an eye toward anticipating needs and offering solutions that make planning smoother.

“Relationship-building has always been my favorite part of the job,” she says. “I love working with people long-term and watching their meetings evolve and grow.”

Tina covers the Midwest market and brings a thoughtful, responsive approach to every planner she works with. When she’s not helping clients envision their next meeting in Portland, she’s likely exploring new languages (She can say “thank you” in 10!), checking out a new coffee shop, or planning her next vineyard visit.

What she loves about Portland: “I’m enamored with its beauty and versatility. Downtown is lined with trees, giving this urban city a friendly feel. The food scene is amazing, from street tacos to high-end dining. The welcoming vibe here is so kind and accepting. And the variety of hotels is impressive!”

One of her favorite recent finds is Ponzi Vineyards in the nearby Willamette Valley. “Peaceful, elegant and only 30 minutes from downtown. The wine and charcuterie are phenomenal.”
