Know Before You Go

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Oregon’s governor has banned all large events through the end of September 2020. For details on the Portland Queer Film Festival, please visit their websites.

Fall heralds the return of the Portland Queer Film Festival, an annual showcase of short and feature-length narrative and documentary films from around the world. While varied in form and content, the selected films share a marked relevance to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community (not to mention plenty of film industry buzz).

The festival returns every September to the historic Cinema 21 theater, a Northwest Portland landmark since 1925. Visit PQFF’s website to learn more about past lineups and to buy a festival pass or individual screening tickets in the future.

The surrounding neighborhood of Nob Hill in Northwest Portland is full of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, so get there a few hours early to explore the area.
