Winter Snow Play and Sauna Day with Sip, Savor, Explore Oregon
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Imagine it, start your day with coffee or tea as you meet up for an outdoor adventure, and it turns into a full snow day in the Mt. Hood National Forest, ending with a two-hour sauna session that warms you to your core and leaves you deeply nourished and grounded.
This Winter Snow Play and Sauna Day trip is a collaboration with Rukshana Triem — Women’s Lifestyle Coaching and Holly — Founder of Sip, Savor, Explore Oregon.
Begin by gathering at a cozy local coffee spot, where you can take a few relaxed minutes to connect over warm drinks and snacks before the adventure begins. From there, head out together in the Sip, Savor, Explore Oregon adventure van, settling in for an easy, scenic ride filled with good conversation. In Sandy, hop on the shuttle up to Timberline Lodge, with your shuttle fare included in your ticket, and let the mountain set the tone for the day ahead.
Once at the lodge, the time is yours to:
— Snowshoe at your own pace (optional)
— Spend time outdoors
— Relax inside the lodge with a hot beverage and enjoy the mountain setting
(approx. 2 hrs. total)
Then shuttle back and ride together in the van to the final stop — a traditional Finnish sauna experience at KOTI (woman-owned). The 2-hour sauna session offers options for sauna only or sauna and cold plunge contrast therapy, along with time around the fire pit to relax and connect. Transportation, timing, and coordination are thoughtfully handled, allowing the day to flow with ease and leaving you free to enjoy the experience without a packed schedule or pressure to rush. This is your chance to unwind in mindful moments, paired with snow play, warmth, and easy connection.
Come along for a winter play day filled with snow time, sauna warmth, and easy connection. Duos, small groups, and solo travelers are all welcome.
Traveling in a small adventure van and spending time in snowy, uneven outdoor environments, this experience is best suited for guests who are comfortable with steps, standing, and walking on winter terrain. If you have accessibility needs or questions, Sip, Savor, Explore Oregon is always happy to chat and help you decide if this adventure is the right fit.
