Prashant is an ex-Intel engineer turned DJ, choreographer, singer, and community organizer in Portland, Oregon. His personality and charisma instantly resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. He is known for an enthralling all-video DJ set with interactive dance lessons and performances seamlessly woven into an irresistible blend of the world’s greatest dance music. His agenda is simple: bring community and cultures together to create connections on the dance floor, and get you dancing longer and harder than you ever thought possible. Get transported to an experience that is akin to being in a Bollywood musical, complete with interactive dance lessons, performances and non-stop hard-hitting beats from the east. Founded in 2010 by Prashant, an immigrant turned DJ, and like-minded friends, Jai Ho! is a celebration of Indian music and dance like no other.

Creating a safe and celebratory space is a priority at every event. Greet and treat everyone you meet as you would like to be treated, with equality, mutual respect, and a big smile. Zero tolerance for bigotry, racist remarks, and generally reckless behavior. Over the course of the night, Punjabi, Bollywood, South Indian songs, and music from across South Asia (new and old) will make their way into the DJ’s playlist. Contribute positively, uplift those around you, tip your bartenders well, and enjoy the music being played.
