Movement Workshops with Tony Carnell
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
Dive into the new year with movement, confidence, and pure energy. This series fuses jazz and industry-style choreography—pushing dancers to explore artistry while strengthening their bodies and stage presence. Dive into the performance side of dance—learning how to connect with the audience/camera, build improvisation skills, and develop self-confidence both on and off the floor. You’ll also work on self-motivation and body awareness through technique, conditioning, and guided freestyle.
This class is designed for teens (12+) and adults at an intermediate level, but all dancers—regardless of your background or experience—are welcome to join. Every session will leave you sweating, inspired, and more in tune with your power.
This workshop is part of a community-based project, A Garden of Doors, which aims to bring accessible arts programming to Las Adelitas residents and the broader community, nurturing local talent and celebrating diverse stories. Creative material from previous workshops will inspire the choreography for a final performance on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
No experience necessary. Comfortable clothing recommended. Light refreshments provided.
