The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Exhausted from family gatherings that include the uncle who starts off conversations with, “This may be an unpopular opinion, but…”? Sick of having to praise mom’s green bean casserole even though it’s sucked since 1987? Wanna scream because a cousin needs a ride to the airport at 4:45 a.m.?

Come join a night of laughs with an elite squad of Portland’s funniest people and forget about all that for a few hours. Please leave the casserole at home — nobody wants it.

Jordan Casner was just crowned Portland’s Funniest Person 2025 at Helium Comedy Club in August. He has performed in festivals including the Bridgetown Comedy Festival and 10,000 Laughs and has opened and toured for acts including David Spade, Taylor Tomlinson, and Brian Regan. He has two cats and a solid night routine.

Adam Pasi was Portland’s Funniest Person 2019 and 2020 and is a regular host at Helium Comedy Club. Adam has appeared on Portlandia and has performed on the Limestone, Wenatchee, and Bridgetown Comedy Festivals. Catch him every Wednesday night hosting the Doughcomedy showcase across the street at Mississippi Pizza.

Imani Denae was named one of the Funniest Five comedians by Willamette Week and one of the Geniuses of Comedy by the Portland Mercury in 2023. Katt Williams and Vulture Magazine have praised Imani’s comedy, and she has opened for Roy Woods Jr., Nicole Byer, Reggie Watts and Esther Povitsky.

Virginia Jones has been on Portlandia, CNN’s History of Comedy, and an Australian tap dance infomercial. She won second place in Helium’s Portland’s Funniest Person competition in August and has opened for Maria Bamford, Jackie Kashian, Laurie Kilmartin, Kevin McDonald, and Eddie Pepitone. She has been on more comedy festivals than you’ve had hot dinners, like the San Francisco Sketchfest, Altercation Comedy, Bridgetown, All Jane, WICF, Chico and Santa Cruz.

Don Gavitte has been teaching high school history for over 30 years and lives with his wife, kids, and pet rabbit in a little blue house. Don regularly features throughout the PNW and has performed at the Sixth City and Ha Ha Harvest Comedy Festivals. Don also created The Teacher Show, which has been deemed a “solution for teacher burnout” by National Public Radio and “must-see comedy” by Willamette Week and the Portland Mercury.
