Celebrating iconic and fresh young Black artists all playing music alternative to hip hop and RnB — Black and Loud promises something for everyone. Headlining this year’s Black and Loud fest is the iconic, multi-Grammy winning Living Colour who have not played Portland for a minute and this show is a welcome return for the band that gave us such hits as Cult of Personality. Living Colour attained much of their notoriety via the pyrotechnic guitar playing of Vernon Reid who just released a new single titled “The Haunting” on July 10, 2025, which is the first single from his upcoming solo album, “Hoodoo Telemetry,” set to be released on October 3, 2025.
