The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Embrace autumn, the season of harvest, by joining the seasonal PNW plant magic circle and learn about three sacred and healing berries that feed the Pacific Northwest.

To celebrate the Autumn harvest, delve into the medicinal properties, ecological roles, and historical ethnobotanical uses of elder, hawthorn, and blackberry. Connect with the ways these fruits nourish the body and spirit, and consider how to relate to these plants in living ecosystems.

This class is for green witches, plant people, and anyone seeking more connection to land, plants, and the medicine of the green world.

In class, make an infused elixir (alcohol-based, a sweetened tincture) with these plants. (Please bring a jar. Alcohol, sweetener, and herbs will be provided.) There will also be an option for those who do not want to work with alcohol to make an infused honey.

Come away with a deeper, more empowered connection to the wisdom of the plants, hands-on experience making a folk-style herbal elixir to take home and enjoy, and deeper connections to other magical humans.

Make sure to bring:

  • A jar
  • A pen and paper for note-taking
  • Whatever else you need to get comfy and sink into pleasure

Please arrive a little early to get settled in. For the sake of the container and to minimize distractions, doors will be locked 10 minutes after class starts. Please keep this in mind while making travel arrangements.
