The following description was submitted by the event organizer.

Celebrate Disability Pride with PHAME. Join the annual celebration marking the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. This year’s partner is Portland Parks and Recreation’s Summer Free For All to present a free, family-friendly outdoor concert at Woodlawn Park in Northeast Portland.

Headlining the evening is local salsa band Conjunto Alegre. PHAME’s Chameleonica and Rock ‘n Roses (that’s the new name for the Rock Ensemble) will play the opening set. Enjoy inclusive art activities, concessions for sale, and a designated sensory-friendly area. It’s a joyful, welcoming way to wrap up July’s Disability Pride Month—a night filled with music, creativity, and community connection.

Bring a picnic blanket or low-back chair, invite your friends and family, and spend a beautiful summer evening with PHAME.

Woodlawn Park is bordered by NE Claremont Ave to the north, NE 13th Ave to the east, NE Dekum St to the south, and NE 11th Ave to the west. Street parking is available in the neighborhood surrounding Woodlawn Park. With a large number of people coming to the event, please allow extra time to find parking. Woodlawn Park has paved walkways with a slight slope, and attendees using wheelchairs will be able to access vendors, activities, ADA-accessible restrooms, and areas for concert viewing.

The event will include moderate to loud music and other sounds. A sensory-friendly zone, where earplugs will be provided, will be available for guests needing to take a break. If you have specific preferences for noise-cancellation tools, it is recommended that you bring your own.

Come and enjoy the show. Patrons who need to vocalize or move around are welcome—in fact, dancing is highly encouraged. Attendees are welcome to leave and return to the event as necessary.
