In Mulieribus offers a rare opportunity to experience the fascinating sounds of early and contemporary music of Latin America composed for women’s voices. The program includes villancicos by 17th century Mexican composers Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz, Juan García de Zéspedes, and Juan de Lienas; works by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Pablo Casals; and Einojuhani Rautavaara's famous Suite de Lorca — a haunting setting of Federico García Lorca's surrealist poems. The concert will include guest artist guitarist Mario Diaz.
