Join artists and activists Anne Greenwood, Loo Bain, and Vo Vo at Albina Green for an afternoon of community building.

Celebratory and chill outdoor space for gathering, community-building and hand-dying. Indigo dye vats will be set up for people to reinvent their fabrics, clothes, and doilies – BYO textiles. There will be tasty treats, and music performers will play throughout the day, including Vo Vo. This is a family-friendly event. Drop in and convene on the Green.

Stay tuned on September 25th for the full lineup, schedule of events, and registration for the Albina Green Vibrant Space.

Vibrant Spaces are the centerpiece of this year’s Portland TextileX Month community programming, weekly events that aim to unite us all in the spirit of regeneration and community-building. Each Vibrant Space takes place in dynamically different locations in neighborhoods across our city and brings together a variety of creators, activists, leaders, and crafters of all skill sets to regenerate the sense of community integral to working with textile, with events ranging from free community-centered programming talks, workshops, exhibits, and food. Vibrant Spaces are made partly by generous funding from the American Rescue Plan and The Portland Bureau of Transportation.
