Vladimir Feltsman at The Reser
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
"One of those rare musicians who seems able to tackle almost any repertoire" (Chicago Classical Review), Vladimir Feltsman kicks off Portland Piano International's second season of one-hour, no-intermission piano recitals at The Reser.
In this program of miniature masterworks, Beethoven's 7 Bagatelles — with their playful, spontaneous spirit — will transport you to the intimate late-night salons of early 19th-century Vienna, while Chopin's yearning, nostalgic nocturnes offer some of the most sublimely beautiful music ever written for the piano.
