FLORATOPIA Blossoms in Portland

The Portland Garden Club is hosting a world-class flower show, “Floratopia”. The show features exhibits from professional and novice floral designers, horticulturists and photographers from around the country.

More than 80 judges from all over the U.S. will be on hand to critique and award ribbons to the winning entries. All exhibits and events are free and open to the public. Whether you are an avid flower gardener or would love to see the latest in floral design…Floratopia has something for everyone.

Featured Exhibits
Floral Aerial Designs featuring floral arrangements suspended from a 60-inch cable.
Tabletop Floral Arrangements in all shapes, sizes and manner of material.
Botanical Designs featuring eye-catching jewelry made exclusively from plant material.
Miniature Floral Designs featuring a floral display not to exceed 5 inches tall.
Horticulture Exhibits showcasing everything from roses, shrubs, perennials and more – all grown and groomed to perfection.
Landscape and Floral Photography with photos from some of the best amateur photographers from around the country.

A Focus on the Environment
Interactive Conservation Exhibit featuring the Tillamook Forest Watershed and highlighting its importance to salmon viability.
Jane D Stetson Lecture on Biomimicry, “Innovation Inspired by Nature” presented by Beth Rattner of the Biomimicry Institute, May 21, at 2 pm, in Cheatham Hall. Biomimicry
is the study of nature and how it can be applied to the modern world in the areas of architecture, fashion, agriculture, energy, construction and more.
