MLK Day On 2022

Theme: MLK Day On: (Re)Claiming Black Joy.

The University of Portland community considers Martin Luther King, Jr. Day as a day ON! Not a day off. Celebrate the legacy of Dr. King again this year, centering your attention on the theme of (Re)Claiming Black Joy. 

The Opening Vigil will feature songs, student readings, candle lightings, and more, all to honor Dr. King's legacy, living dream, and courageous Call-to-Action for all.
