Carmina Burana
The following description was submitted by the event organizer.
With the ferocious roar of its unforgettable opening, Carl Orff's exhilarating Carmina Burana has become a cultural phenomenon, arresting audiences with its bawdy celebration of life, love, and renewal. Opening the program is Hindemith's Mathis der Maler Symphony, its three movements inspired by paintings from Matthais Grünewald’s Isenheim altarpiece.
