Yuvees

YUVEES are a Portland, Oregon based band that deals in lament, frustation and cathartic release. Influenced by bands like Mission of Burma, Pere Ubu, and comps like Punk 45, No New York & Red Snerts-their upcoming album “Dead Keys” brings an onslaught of bent guitars, throbbing bass, crashing drums, and manic vocal performances direct and without apology. Despite having been recorded in basements and budget studios throughout Portland, this record maintains a solid fidelity without aggressively hiding blemishes. This all makes for a driving, sometimes funny and often harrowing result.
