Open Music with Caroline Shaw

Open Music is a brand new concert series devised and hosted by Creative Chair Gabriel Kahane. For the inaugural concert, welcome composer, violinist and singer Caroline Shaw in advance of the Oregon Symphony premiere of her piece Partita for Eight Voices, for which she won the Pulitzer Prize in Music in 2013 at the age of 30. Interspersed with conversation between Shaw and Kahane, members of the Oregon Symphony will perform a program created by Shaw that sheds light on what makes her tick as an artist.
