Offered by Wildwood Adventures. World-famous Pinot Noirs, crisp Chardonnays and sweet Rieslings are just a taste of the dozens of wines that Oregon has to offer. On this adventure through the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley, you’ll visit three carefully selected vineyards. Guests will partake in tasting flights and experience a behind-the-scenes view of viticulture. Between tastings, you will stop for lunch in the heart of wine country.

This is a full day tour, typically offered from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m  . Please note, the tour route and sights may vary depending on the time of year and weather conditions. It is always Wildwood's goal to provide you with the most interesting adventure possible.

Typical Itinerary:

Departing from downtown Portland, the tour will make its way along the Vineyard and Valley Scenic Route, past orchards, lavender fields and farms, to the famous Willamette Valley. As Oregon’s leading wine region, the valley is home to more than 500 wineries. Recognized as one of the premier Pinot Noir producing areas of the world, the wine from this area is often likened to France’s Burgundy region. Throughout the drive, your guide will share the history of Oregon wine production, how the valley was formed and what makes its soil so idyllic for our world-famous wine grapes. Your guide will also discuss the six different sub-appellations of the valley.

In the heart of the Willamette Valley, you will visit three carefully selected wineries and vineyards, where you will partake in winery tours, viticulture talks and wine tastings. Surrounded by the science, production and study of grapes, your guests feel like experts in no time. From the wineries selected, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Cascade Mountain Range as well as stunning rolling hill vineyard vistas.

The tour will plan to visit one winery before pausing for lunch at a local café, after which you'll make your way to two more wineries. If timing allows, the tour will visit the Oregon Olive Mill, a premier purveyor of estate-milled extra virgin olive oil and home to the only Olioteca in the Pacific Northwest. At the end of the afternoon, your guide will bring you back to Downtown Portland, just in time for dinner.

The wine tastings fees at each winery are included in the price of the tour. You will have a chance to purchase wine at the wineries. Most wineries offer convenient shipping options straight to your home.
