Zymurgy is the study of fermentation, and Portland is all about some fermented beverages. Taste some cider, beer and spirits on this tour of some of Portland's tastiest craft beverages. Learn about the ingredients, process and culture of each of these.
Cider is a gluten-free alternative that has been gaining popularity in this region, and these ciders aren't the fruity, sweet ciders you may have had before. Let Brewvana blow your mind with the new wave of craft cider. Learn about the process and style, and taste some fresh dry ciders before you graduate on to Brewvana's favorite: beer! You'll visit a brewery next, where you'll get to taste and experience some of the Northwest's favorite brews and have some tasty appetizers. Save the sprits for last. In order to make whiskey, you need to make beer! Get a behind-the-scenes look at the brewing/distilling process and taste some award-winning spirits. Not for the faint of heart.
