Started in 2006, Velo Cult (originally “Velo Culture”) is far more than just a bike shop — it’s equal parts bike shop, venue and bar. An 80-year-old castle drawbridge acts as a stage for live music, which happens a few times a week. A 100″ projection screen and full surround sound helps for film and documentary showings. A full-size with 12 taps and about 40 bottles and cans keeps cyclists’ thirsts quenched with beer, soda and wine. The multipurpose shop’s most recent addition, a coffee bar, always features at least fur of the best roasters to choose from for pour-over coffee in vintage coffee cups.
