p:ear builds positive relationships with homeless and transitional youth through education, art and recreation to affirm personal worth and create more meaningful and healthier lives. Each year, p:ear programs serve almost 900 homeless and transitional young people ages 15 to 24.
p:ear gallery is located on-site and is the venue in which p:ear youth and guest artists display and sell their work. The gallery opens most First Thursdays and serves as an open house where community members and p:ear youth engage in an open dialogue and appreciation of these youths’ monthly artistic achievements. p:ear youth keep 90% of the proceeds from the sales of their work, a positive way to generate funds.
