Since 2009, vacant retail spaces in downtown Portland have been transformed into temporary stores where local designers and artists “set up shop” for the holiday season. These pop-up businesses showcase local design and talent, encouraging downtown shoppers to seek out unique and limited-edition gifts for their family and friends. Several participants from previous years, including Crafty Wonderland, Boys Fort and Bridge & Burn, had so much success that they opened their own brick-and-mortar locations.
The 2018 pop-up shops are open Nov. 15–Dec. 24:
- BlackSheepMade and Cloth & Ore are located at 803 S.W. Morrison St. Open Tuesday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday, noon–6 p.m.; closed Mondays.
- City Pop is located at Director Park, 815 S.W. Park Ave. Open Tuesday–Saturday, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Sunday, noon–6 p.m.; closed Mondays.
