As the total solar eclipse on Aug. 21 approaches, Travel Portland invites you to come learn how to prepare for the influx of visitors to our area. While the areas within the path of totality will be most impacted, the Portland region will certainly feel the benefits (and some of the congestion) of thousands of visitors to Oregon.
Join us as Linea Gagliano, Director of Global Communications for Travel Oregon, and Dave Thompson, Public Affairs Program Manager for Oregon Department of Transportation, share about the ongoing efforts to mitigate these impacts, including traffic related issues, and what you can do to prepare. Jim Todd, Director of Space Science Education at OMSI, will also share some insight into the science behind this rare cosmic event.
Artemis Foods will provide lunch.
Lunch & Learns are held at noon in Travel Portland’s boardroom.
