Since its grand opening in 2007, Cascade Station has become one of Portland’s top spots for big-box shopping. Conveniently located along the MAX light rail Red Line, two stops away from Portland International Airport, the Northeast Portland shopping center stretches over 120 acres (48.6 ha) and features 44 stores.
Cascade Station’s star attraction is IKEA, the massive Scandinavian furniture store full of model kitchens, nap-worthy mattresses and ready-to-assemble furnishings — not to mention IKEA’s famous Swedish meatballs. Once you’ve found your perfect shelves, deck them out with scented candles from Bath & Body Works or video games and electronics from Best Buy — all tax-free, of course!
