Fall heralds the return of the Portland Queer Film Festival, an annual showcase of short and feature-length narrative and documentary films from around the world. While varied in form and content, the selected films share a marked relevance to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans community (not to mention plenty of film industry buzz).
The festival returned Sept. 20–26, 2019, to the historic Cinema 21 theater, a Northwest Portland landmark since 1925. Visit PQFF’s website to learn more about past lineups and to buy a festival pass or individual screening tickets in the future.
Parking is very limited in this neighborhood, so we highly recommend using public transportation, biking or walking to get to the theater. The surrounding neighborhood of Nob Hill in Northwest Portland is full of boutique shops, restaurants and cafes, so get there a few hours early to explore the area.
