Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden

This internationally recognized seven-acre garden is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year. Crystal Springs is particularly spectacular March through June, when many of the outstanding collection of rhododendrons and azaleas are in full bloom. Visitors stroll by three waterfalls and wander down shaded paths to the lake, which attracts countless waterfowl. Long regarded as a photographer’s dream, this tranquil setting makes it easy to forget that downtown Portland is only minutes away. The garden is a cooperative venture of The Portland Chapter of The American Rhododendron Society and Portland Parks and Recreation. Open daily from dawn to dusk. A $3 admission fee is charged March 1st through Labor Day, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. No charge Tuesdays and Wednesdays and for children under the age of 12.
