Travel Portland Social Media Terms of Use

Travel Portland is a destination marketing organization that provides valuable local insight for visitors. Have a question about romantic dining, biking trails, family-friendly outings, attractions, performing arts, breweries or events? We're here to offer suggestions and answer your questions. This site is for visitors and locals asking tourism-related questions. We encourage you to share comments, photos, videos, and links where appropriate. However, any fan posts or comments that are inappropriate, offensive, commercial in nature, or that otherwise violate the Travel Portland Terms of Use, will be deleted. Comments and wall posts shared by fans do not represent the opinions of Travel Portland.

Basic Terms

All users must comply with the Terms of Use of the respective site(s): Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. Travel Portland actively monitors posts on all of these social media channels and will respond to visitor questions whenever possible. Travel Portland may, at its discretion, remove content that violates the terms of use. These include, but are not limited to:

• posting content that seeks to defame, abuse, harass, stalk, threaten or otherwise violate the legal rights (such as rights of privacy and publicity) of others;
• publishing, posting, distributing or disseminating any defamatory, infringing, obscene, indecent, misleading or unlawful material or information;
• posting content that is promotional or commercial in nature and/or not relevant to visitors (at Travel Portland’s sole discretion);
• posting excessively;
• uploading or attaching files that contain software or other material for which you do not own or have the express right to use;
• uploading or attaching files that contain viruses, corrupted files, spyware or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of another's computer;
• deleting any author attributions, legal notices or proprietary designations or labels in any file that is uploaded;
• falsifying the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is uploaded.

Your License to Travel Portland

Any communications or material of any kind that you e-mail, post, or transmit through Travel Portland’s social media channels, including, questions, comments, suggestions, and other data and information will be treated as non-confidential and non-proprietary. By posting, you grant Travel Portland a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, world-wide, irrevocable license to reproduce, transmit, display, disclose, and otherwise use your communications.

Travel Portland will, wherever possible, provide appropriate credits for images and videos.

Portland Spoke

Portland Spoke is the official blog of Travel Portland. All comments are monitored and must be approved before they are visible to the public. Any content submitted is subject to Travel Portland’s Basic Terms of Use, as outlined above.
